Make Me Ink:
The Madness, the Vision, and the Woman Behind It All:
“I’m Melody Jo, aka Mekkgirl, single mother of 3 in the Pacific Northwest that is too stubborn to watch the world pass me by. The world is what we make of it, and I won’t settle for anything less than making this world a better place for my kids to live in.
The world is cruel to those that dare to be different, but those that are different are the ones that are changing the world.”
The main overall mission with Make Me Ink is to find the gems of the underground community and give them a chance to make themselves - to showcase their own works and talents, curate their own soul, and publish their own future.
Artists, makers, poets, chefs, philosophers, survivors, inventors, collectors!, comics, musicians, hell-raisers, peace keepers, mothers, old souls, good vibes, and bad bitches are all welcome here.
Good things coming soon!
(Unfortunate truth: Bad things also coming soon)
Don’t let the world tell you who to be.
Warning: my name is Melody Jo and I’m going to change the world. I’m not going to do it by waiting patiently in line to file a petition, or by contributing a feed full of positive life events and filtered pictures while leaving the rest of life out. I’m not gonna “fake it til I make it”, nor am I going to hide my failures from the world just to keep my follower count up.
What I /do/ plan on contributing to the world is acceptance of who people are, and encouragement to be better. I want to reach the people who have given up on fitting in because they have been told their whole life that they are “too much.” The people who are weird, burnt out, ugly, tired of small talk, a paycheck away from losing it all, and done entertaining the happily ever after. I want authentic realness and genuine human connection to have a place to shine. I want personalities to be unique again, and people to be unashamed when they talk about their passions. I want to meet the people that care about progress, but know that it doesn’t look the same to everybody.
Tell me your story. How you are existing in this world, and what drives you to keep going when you feel like giving up.
